Description

Road to Resilience is a school-based mental health and resilience programme developed and delivered by Pieta. It is designed to help secondary school students build the skills and knowledge to mind their own mental health and support the people around them.

The programme is delivered in schools by trained Pieta facilitators and covers topics including emotional health, coping skills, help-seeking, and suicide awareness in a safe and age-appropriate way.

The programme covers:

  • Understanding emotions and mental health
  • Building personal resilience and coping skills
  • Recognising when a friend or classmate may be struggling
  • How to ask for help and who to turn to
  • Suicide awareness — what it is and what to do if you’re worried about someone
  • Local and national support services for young people

Road to Resilience is available to secondary schools across Ireland. A voluntary contribution is requested. Contact Pieta to arrange the programme for your school.
